Adding an element of aromatherapy to your life can be an enlightening experience. Natural essential oils can be used in many different ways to enhance the quality of your life. Use your own oil blends, mixed to achieve your mental and physical aspirations. Here are some of the methods for delivery.
ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS
* Lamps - Choose from either classical lamps sculpted of ceramic, glass or porcelain
with a tea light candle, or contemporary plastic with electrical plug-in. The
rising vapors can magically change a room.
* Spray - Add to water and place in a spray bottle. You can mist yourself and
the room!
* Light Bulb Ring - A porous, unglazed ceramic ring is attached to the base
of a light bulb. The heat of the bulb causes the oil to evaporate and aromatize
a room.
BODILY APPLICATIONS
* Inhalation - Add a few drops to a large bowl of hot water. With a towel covering
your head, bend your face over the bowl and inhale steam for about 5 minutes.
* Bath - Everyone know the relaxing feeling of a nice warm bath. Add some essential
oils for an enhanced experience. Oils do not mix well with water, so mix with
honey, cream, bubble bath or bath salts.
* Body Products - Included in this category is shampoo, conditioner, mud mask,
lotion and massage oil. Purchase natural products free of scent and color. Add
your own mixture of essential oils.
Special note - some essential oils may be taken orally under the supervision of an experienced therapist. Usually this is not recommended as external application is sufficient. In all cases whether internal or external, smaller amounts are beneficial but larger amounts may be toxic at certain levels. Please be sure to research thoroughly and consult a professional.
